In association with Dockwalk, Burgess invites all talented superyacht crew content creators to capture EVERYDAY EXTRAORDINARY for the honour of the title Crew photographer or videographer of the year 2022.

As yacht crew members, you live a unique lifestyle unlike any other. Your EVERYDAY includes long days, high-pressure, and making once in a lifetime friendships with people who will support you while you are away from home, sometimes for months at a time.
You also have the opportunity to travel the world and see some EXTRAORDINARY sights that stop you in your tracks and truly take your breath away.
Whether it be a candid moment captured with your fellow crew, flora or fauna, marine life, amazing architecture, or even the dazzling night sky on the darkest of nights, this year we are asking you to capture your interpretation of EVERYDAY EXTRAORDINARY as a crew member and to share it with us.

We have teamed up with Lost and Found Crew (LAFC) to bring you an incredible prize package worth almost USD 2000 - LAFC have created an NFT membership club exclusive to yacht crew and if you are named our photographer or videographer of the year, you will win a free NFT membership worth USD 1497 - with only 2022 NFT's available this really is an awesome prize! Our photo winner will also feature on the cover of Dockwalk and the video winner will feature on both BOAT and Dockwalk websites with interviews about their entry. A runner up will be named in each category, and they will both win an Amazon voucher for GBP 100.

Entries are welcomed from 13.00 BST on 21 July 2022 and the competition will close for entries at 13.00 BST on 14 September. Winner will be announced at the Monaco Yacht Show at an exact time and place yet to be confirmed, and winners will be notified via email, announced on the Burgess website and all Burgess and Dockwalk social media channels.
All entries will be judged by a panel from Blue iProd, Burgess, and Dockwalk.

Terms and conditions
Entrants must be a current member of crew on board a superyacht
Must show life on board a superyacht as opposed to ‘crew life’, i.e. no crew parties, no nudity, no crew drinking, etc.
Safe working practices must be adhered to in order for photos to be posted on our channels i.e. correct safety gear, footwear worn where appropriate, etc.
No guests or owners to feature unless written permission has been gained
Must double-check with owner/captain to see whether interiors of the yacht can be displayed publicly
All entries to be received in high-res format (or should be available in that format upon request)
In videos, any background music must be royalty-free so that it can be used on our social channels. Suggested websites are:
Videos should be up to 50 seconds long maximum
All video entries will be bookended with Burgess branding when displayed on media channels
Multiple entries are permitted (but one prize per person)
All entries submitted become the property of Burgess and Dockwalk and reuse will be credited
Only entries that meet the Burgess competition criteria will be considered
In addition to the LAFC NFT and the Insta 360 ONE X2 Action Camera, the winning prize includes:
- photograph winner to be featured on the front cover of Dockwalk
- video winner to be showcased on both BOAT & Dockwalk websites with interviews about their entry
- annual Subscription to BOAT & Dockwalk magazine
Winners have the option to exchange the Insta 360 ONE X2 Action Camera prize for the cash equivalent
