Norway

This summer choose cool, calm and collected with a charter in the Norwegian fjords

Over 10,000 years ago, great valleys were carved out of the rugged Norwegian coastline as millions of tonnes of snow and ice melted with the demise of the Ice Age. What it left behind was a beguiling display of sea waterways bordered on three sides by soaring snow-capped mountains and lush green rolling hills. Each fjord starts at the North Sea and burrows inland until it culminates at a U-shape in one of Western Norway’s picturesque hill-side villages.

The Balearics

Tourism is centred on the four main islands of Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera. Firstly, Ibiza is more than just holy ground for clubbers. Its jagged coastline contains dozens of dreamy white sandy beaches, hidden coves and bays, villages of white-washed houses and a green, hilly interior landscape decorated with fig and olive trees. Formentera beckons with its impossibly perfect, white sandy beaches and quiet relaxed atmosphere. With a ban on beach-front building, this island has retained its unspoilt charm. Menorca offers quaint cafés and relaxed shopping, seafood lunches and historic buildings. An afternoon here is sure to slow the pace and Mallorca is a mix of buzzing Palma with its historic architecture and upmarket restaurants with a mountainous interior perfect for hiking.
