Ed joined Burgess in 2009 to further his experience and knowledge having spent three years based in the South of France, racing on the Mediterranean regatta circuit. He has a long standing interest in the maritime world, sailing and diving from a young age, working and racing on modern and classic yachts, and studying marine sciences. Ed started his Burgess career in the Crew Services department, then moved to Safety & Security, and finally Operational Management where he is now a yacht manager. Ed is qualified with the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
