Katie began her insurance career at Devonshire Claims Services in 2006 working in Marine Hull claims, before transferring to the Cargo Placing Team at Lloyd & Partners in 2008 (which subsequently became JLT Specialty). Her role consisted predominantly of drafting market documentation and negotiating rates and premiums with both London and overseas markets for one of the largest commodity traders in Europe. Katie visited these clients at their Head Office in Geneva on a regular basis and also gained extensive experience of international travel to the USA, Asia, Europe and South America.

In December 2015, Katie transferred internally to the North American cargo team within JLT Speciality. While working within this team, Katie focused on all aspects of account handling but with a particular emphasis on US stock throughput, project cargo and supply-chain risks emanating from North America and Canada, therefore gaining experience in dealing with clients all across the globe.

In her free time, Katie enjoys attending the gym and yoga classes. One of Katie’s main interests is painting and she has sold various pictures.
