Mark, describe your new sales CA.
I am so excited to bring this yacht to market, she's extraordinary! Let's start with the stats. TRANQUILITY is a 91.5m (300.1ft) yacht built to the Passenger Yacht Code (PYC) by the Dutch shipyard Oceanco and delivered in 2014 with Winch Design interiors inspired by nature. Her PYC coding means she's ready to go cruising with up to 22 guests in 9-11 cabins. With a beam of 14.5m (47.6ft) and a volume of 2,998GT, the space on board is undeniably impressive but where she excels is the rare combination of features that make her one of the most technically capable and safe explorer yachts afloat today.
The stand out opportunity
She is, put simply, the stand out opportunity in the large yacht market, and there are two reasons for that. First, she is the only yacht over 80m that combines the additional safety standards and passenger capacity of the commercial PYC status, an Ice Class 1E hull and a fully certified helipad with refuelling facilities, plus another touch and go helipad on the foredeck. With a 5,000nm range she is fully capable of taking an adventurous new owner - or charter clients if she operates commercially - to the ends of the earth and back, from pole to pole, exploring the remotest corners of the planet in absolute comfort and enhanced safety.
The second reason is price. She is on the market with an asking price of EUR 149,000,000, which is appropriate for this vessel. To commission a yacht of the same calibre as TRANQUILITY, with the same impeccable pedigree, would cost in the region of EUR 200,000,000. She is priced well below replacement cost, which is compelling, and there's no four year wait before you can go cruising.
What are her most appealing features?
Guests can arrive at the sea terrace on the starboard side and take the tubular glass elevator from lower to main and upper decks. If they choose to arrive at the stern, they will find a large beach club with lounge seating and a bar. This relaxation area is linked directly to a dedicated gym on the starboard side with a vast shell door that opens to create a sea terrace, providing light and access to the water. On the port side is the spa area with steam room, sauna, massage and ice plunge pool. There is also a dive store and technical areas for all the watertoys.
The yacht's two main tenders, a 10.5m limo tender and a 10.5m open tender, both custom built by Hodgdon, are stowed on open decks below the helipad. The current set-up has the upper deck's deep, large, circular pool in this space and this could be expanded to create a showpiece infinity pool. The large open deck above, one of the yacht's two helipads, doubles up as a versatile space for dining, a sports deck or parties.
Up to 22 guests
Accommodation is both extensive and flexible, she is tremendously adaptable and well suited to all sorts of uses. The forward-facing owner's suite on the upper deck has so much natural light from a feature skylight running the length of the cabin. There's a vast his and hers bathroom, walk in wardrobes, a private owner's office, adjacent staff cabin and a private terrace forward with its own jacuzzi and endless views across the foredeck. It's quite stunning work by Winch.
The VVIP suite is on the bridge deck above, facing aft onto a private terrace and on over the huge upper deck aft to the anchorage beyond, spectacular views. The remaining seven dedicated cabins are forward on the main deck, including two VIP suites with their own folding balconies, and two further rooms are convertible as guest cabins.
Adaptable interior spaces
Two formal dining and entertaining areas on the main and upper decks are connected by a grand staircase spiralling around the elevator, and the main deck dining area could easily double as a conference room.
In short, this is a yacht on which the owner can relax with family and friends, conduct business seamlessly and impress guests and clients anywhere in the world. That's the opportunity TRANQUILITY represents and that's why she is the number one large yacht on the market.
How are you going to market the yacht?
The yacht is in Malaysia and there is a discussion as to whether we keep her in this area over winter before a likely return to Europe for the 2021 Med season. She'll be a popular charter choice with a capacity of up to 22 guests. Only a handful of yachts can do the same and this is one of the very finest. To discuss TRANQUILITY further, see confidential high quality presentations, arrange a live video walk through of the yacht or inspect in person, please get in touch with your Burgess broker.
