Ravenna-based shipyard Rosetti Superyachts has laid the keel for the second yacht in its 38M EXP series, scheduled for delivery in Q3 2023. The 38.2m (125.3ft) yacht, a new-build project advised by Burgess in December 2021, has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to RINA classification and MCA compliance.
Her naval architecture and exterior lines are by Italian studio Hydro Tec and her contemporary interiors are by Burdisso & Capponi Yacht & Design, ensuring Italian style throughout. The first yacht in the RSY 38M EXP series, EMOCEAN, received a rapturous reception of at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2021.
Extensive exterior spaces included a sun deck with jacuzzi forward, versatile deck space aft and a bar, BBQ and open-air dining beneath the hardtop. The tender is stowed down to the upper deck aft, launched by a deck crane. While the sidedeck to port has steps leading down to the main deck, the starboard sidedeck leads forward to a Portuguese bridge and a large foredeck sunpad.
There is lounge seating on the main deck aft and the sidedeck to starboard leads to the main lobby where there is a dayhead. From the main deck aft steps either side lead down to a large swim platform and the transom lifts to give access to a large beach club with lounge seating, shower and dayhead. The beach club also has internal guest access from the main deck.
At 430GT, she has the interior volume of a yacht several metres longer, intelligently laid out for ease of use. Bulwark cut-outs and full-height windows in the open-plan main saloon provide abundant natural light and deliver excellent views of the environment. From the main lobby forward, steps lead up to the sky lounge where there is formal dining for 10 guests and a dayhead.
Forward on the main deck is a full-beam owner's suite with a private office, lounge, two walk-in wardrobes and his-and-hers bathrooms sharing a large shower. Two double suites and two twin suites on the lower deck complete family-friendly accommodation for 12 guests in five suites. She also sleeps seven crew.
Designed for IMO Tier III compliance, reducing both emissions and fuel costs, her two 1,400hp MAN diesel engines give her a top speed of 13 knots and a transatlantic range of 5,000nm at her passage speed of 10 knots. Zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort on arrival.
We are delighted to see this new-build yacht, advised by Burgess, take the next step on its path to the world's oceans.
