LUMINOSITY - a broker's view.

Lead broker Dominic Millman talks to Burgess World about LUMINOSITY, the latest addition to our sales fleet.
Describe your new sales CA.
I've been in this business a long time now, coming up for 17 years, and I can honestly say I've never seen anything like LUMINOSITY. The word 'unique' gets overused in this industry but in this case, it's 100 percent accurate. She's so much more than numbers but for the record, she is a 107.6m (352.9ft) brand new yacht built by Benetti to the Passenger Yacht Code and she'll be ready to go cruising this summer with up to 27 guests. With a beam of 17m (55.8ft) and a volume of 5,844GT, the space on board is beyond impressive - the headroom on the main deck is 3m (9.8ft), which is simply unprecedented.
She really is genuinely unique. Very importantly, she is ready for delivery to a new owner now - you could be cruising this incredible yacht this summer - for less than the actual cost and substantially under replacement cost, not to mention the five year wait during build. That's the opportunity here.
What are her most appealing features?
She was designed for multi-generational family use so she is tailor made for a family that loves spending time together, from grandparents to grandchildren, and exploring the world, but her appeal is universal. She is a yacht designed to be lived in, to be enjoyed regardless of age or ability, and she has the spaces, capacities and capabilities to meet all modern tastes.
With over 800sqm (8,600sqft) of floor to ceiling windows, the interiors, including over 46 types of marble totalling around 600sqm (6,458sqft), are bathed in light and the views are just extraordinary, you almost expect to feel the breeze in your hair walking through the main saloon.
Unique features - there's that word again - include a 19sqm (205sqft) wall of 264 Corian flowers that open and close as you walk by. Then there's the 370sqm (3,983sqft) interactive LED video wall running along the main deck and up five decks of the stairwell, 18m (59ft) in height. It shows a forest canopy at the moment but could display fully customised video content.
Technologically she is a breakthrough yacht with low noise, low vibration diesel electric Azipod propulsion and an 8,000nm range, clever power management and heat recovery systems, and the largest hybrid battery drive ever seen on a yacht, which means she can operate silently overnight at anchor. It's absolute state of the art tech, completely groundbreaking.
LUMINOSITY has a fully certified helipad, glass-sided sun deck jacuzzi, an elevator serving all guest decks, a hospital and a huge beach club with gym, health spa and a 30sqm (323sqft) counter flow swimming pool with underwater speakers, the bottom of which rises to become a dancefloor.
The whole lower deck space is open plan with 50sqm (538.2sqft) sea terraces either side and a passage through the beach club to the swim platform. Again, nothing like this has been seen before, the design and engineering that as gone into this yacht, it's just extraordinary.
How do you anticipate marketing her?
The yacht is in Livorno at the moment but in mid-summer I'd like to get her to the South of France when, hopefully, travel restrictions will be lifted and personal inspections will be possible. She really has to be seen to be fully appreciated.
