LIND is for sale
Published 14 September 2022
The 52.3m (171.6ft) LIND is an Amels 171 from the Dutch yard's popular Limited Editions range - so popular in fact that the platform became the Amels 180 model, the yard's most successful to date with 25 yachts delivered. With exterior design by Britain's Tim Heywood, and contemporary interiors by Italian stylist Laura Sessa, she has impeccable pedigree.
Delivered in 2010, her steel hull and aluminium superstructure were built to Lloyd's classification and MCA compliance, and she is currently operating as a sought-after charter yacht. In 2020 she went back to Amels for her 10-year survey and a refit, which included a full repaint, technical systems overhaul and interior upgrades.
An extensive sun deck has a large raised jacuzzi forward with sunpads around the forward section and glass safety screens to block the breeze while preserving the view. Beneath the hardtop there is gym equipment forward with sliding glass doors for shelter, a sit-up bar and banquette seating either side against arched bulwarks.
Aft of a large versatile deck space is a sun lounge with coffee tables where guests can relax and watch movies under the stars on the outdoor cinema.
On the bridge deck aft there is a sun lounge and open-air dining beneath the overhang. Walkaround sidedecks lead forward to a Portuguese bridge with a built-in settee and a passage leads to the foredeck where tenders and toys are stowed and launched by a deck crane.
The main deck aft has banquette seating aft and a sofa either side of a coffee table. Steps lead down to the swim platform and toy garage and there is a dayhead off the lobby.
From the main deck aft doors open into the main saloon and to starboard steps lead down to the guest accommodation. Larger windows provide an abundance of natural light. An L-shaped sofa and occasional armchairs are arranged around a coffee table and forward is a formal dining area.
From the lobby stairs lead up to the bridge deck lobby, which also has a dayhead. The sky lounge also has large windows and U-shaped seating around a coffee table faces a large TV screen on the forward bulkhead.
Forward of the main deck lobby is the owner's suite with a large office, full-beam bedroom with seating either side and an en suite bathroom with bath, shower and walk-in wardrobe. Three lower deck double cabins and a twin cabin with an additional berth complete accommodation for 11 guests in five cabins. She also accommodates 13 crew.
Twin 1,408hp MTU diesel engines give her a top speed of 15.5 knots, a cruising speed of 13 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500nm. Zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort at anchor on arrival.
