Join Burgess on board SURI in the Bahamas.

Burgess charter brokers know what they’re talking about when they recommend a yacht: they spend time on the yachts themselves. This allows them to offer first-hand advice to clients. Last month, Chris Gregory from the London office was invited to spend four days on board the 63m motor yacht SuRi to understand why she offers a trip of a lifetime.
Read his story before watching the incredible video of the trip below.
"The conditions were perfect as the private helicopter descended directly onto SuRi’s deck as she cruised at a healthy 10 knots towards The Exumas. It was a thrilling start to my charter, which seemed to set the tone perfectly for the following four days in The Bahamas.
Without doubt there were so many good points to recount from the moment I stepped on board. Let’s start with the toy garage. Being a lover of watersports I was in my element here. From kite surfing, fly boarding and jetskis, to helicopter trips and incredible views from her a seaplane, SuRi’s toy list is extensive to say the least. The Exumas are also a perfect playground to utilise these fantastic amenities too.
As the charter continued I seemed to be truly inspired by head chef Thomas’ constant and ever-changing menu of delicious dishes. I lost count how many times ‘wow’ escaped from our group. Scrumptious breakfasts gave way to balanced brunches with fresh fruit platters and all served with super juices. But for me, it was the Wagyu beef with truffle that trumped anything I had tasted before (or maybe ever again!). It was simply unforgettable.
There are, of course lots of yachts that do these things well, so what makes one stand out from the crowd? The crew. Everyone on board SuRi was personable, enthusiastic and welcoming; they really broke the mould. So that leaves one question why would I charter SuRi?
In my view, she is one of the best yachts for friends and family, especially with children. After a week on board you could qualify for your PADI, learn how to kite surf, stand-up jetski, wake surf, use the amphibious quad bikes, be brave enough to go down the slide backwards and climb the wall. You could also visit, like me, some amazing places such as James Bond Cave or the famous Pig Island – although watch out if you have food in your hand as the pigs aren’t shy! You could also simply sit back and enjoy the sun pads and jacuzzi. In a nutshell: SuRi is one of a kind. She has everything for a first-class family holiday.
There isn’t anything else I can say that will sell it more… So take a look at the video taken during our time on board: Enjoy!"
SURI can accommodate up to 12 guests in 7 cabins and has a team of 20 crew (including a dive instructor and two pilots).
